We are committed to promoting authentic, African craftsmanship. The majority of our products are handmade in Africa and the USA, meaning they may contain very slight imperfections that make them unique. We are proud to offer limited edition collections and unique item production to ensure products with minimal environmental impact. 


We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) and Paypal. Credit card information is verified prior to order processing. When making a purchase on our Site, your financial details are passed through a secure server using the latest 256-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology. 256-bit SSL encryption is the current industry standard. Shipping Policy

AFROTHREADS ships domestically and internationally from Baltimore, Maryland. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and the total weight of your items. Enjoy affordable, express, worldwide shipping via DHL Ghana for some of our products. Items that ship directly from Ghana are identified in their specific product description. Please note that you are responsible for paying any additional taxes or duties that may be applicable for international orders.

You will receive an email once we have received your order, and it generally takes 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. Certain products may take longer, which will be noted in the particular product description. You will receive another email once your order has been shipped.

If there are any issues placing your order, please submit your desired ship to address and order via the contact us page. We will quote you on shipping and issue an invoice.

Return Policy

To be eligible for a refund or exchange, you must contact us via email at within 7 days of receipt of your purchase, providing a reason for your return/exchange. Returns are made at your own expense and the item must be unused and in the same condition in which it was received. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email notifying you of the approval or rejection of your return. If it is approved, you will receive a refund via the same means used to make your purchase.

Please note that custom orders, kente orders, and sales made during pop-up shops are final.  

In the unlikely event that you receive a damaged item, simply contact us via email at within 24 hours of receipt and we'll be glad to assist.
